My Story
I grew up in rural Wisconsin and loved growing up in a large loving family. As a University of Wisconsin graduate with a degree in Psychology and Philosophy, my first job out of college was as a technical recruiter. I thrived and was able to leverage my degrees when building relationships with candidates and co-workers. In 2010, I was laid off, so I decided to put my recruiting and client acquisition experiences to use, and I launched my own recruiting firm, Advocate Staffing. As demands expanded, I also founded K-12 Recruitment Group, Advocate Search Group and The Digital Marketing Recruiter.
In 2024, I decided to share what I have learned during my 20 years in recruiting and talent acquisition with candidates, independent recruiters, staffing agencies, HR teams and hiring managers. So, I am creating this website and a YouTube channel to help others succeed in their careers and life.
